Yoga & Dance Classes

Thursdays 7:00 pm

Do you:

  • want to learn how to dance but feel to shy to attend an actual dance class? 

  •  feel overwhelmed in a dance class?

  • need more time to learn dance moves?

  • want to try out the cool moves as seen on Strictly Come Dancing?

 

In this class, I will take you on a journey through your body and through different ballroom dances, their characteristic movements, and rhythms.

 

We will use the tools of yoga to settle into the body and be fully present and then exploring the dance moves, practicing them and then stringing them together into a super simple choreography with only three different moves to music.

 

You won’t have to do any improvising or expressive dance. We will focus on how certain movements are executed and repeat them until you feel confident. 

What to expect:

We will be working from the inside out, starting with a yoga-based warm-up followed by exploring one style of dance in each class and learning and practicing three characteristic movements. The highlight of the class is putting these together into a little choreography and practicing it to music. After a yoga-based cool down, you will leave the class with a smile on your face and a deeper connection to your body so you can step into any dance or dance fitness class with more confidence.

Dance & Chill Classes

Saturdays 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Duration: 90 Minutes on ZOOM

You will need:

Water

Trainers

Yoga Mat

Extra clothes to stay warm during cool down

In this 1.5 hour class, I will take you from sweating it out to chilled out. We start with a short introduction to some dance and fitness moves and then rock through a full 50-minute BollyX - The Bollywood Workout routine to get you moving and sweating.

 

We will end the class with a 20-minute yoga-based stretch and relaxation session.

 

Sending you super relaxed and happy into your weekend.

 

BollyX - The Bollywood Workout

Wednesdays & Fridays 6:00 pm

Sundays 1: 00pm

Duration: 50 Minutes on ZOOM

BollyX is inspired and driven by the heart-pumping, energetic rhythms of Bollywood, the film industry of India, crossing dynamic choreography with high-intensity interval training (HIIT), burning up to 800 calories per 50-minute session.

 

The goal is to raise your heart rate and to put a smile on your face at the same time, slowly improving your cardio fitness over time.

This is not a dance class but a dance fitness class!

You don't need any previous dance experience or have to learn how to perform certain moves. You follow along as you see the dance moves happen. This is an excellent way to not just exercise your body but also your brain. Challenging yourself to pickups the movements as quickly as possible.  

GOOD NEWS! It’s NOT about getting it right :-) It’s about having fun and keeping your body moving throughout the class.


We are not training to nail an audition to a Bollywood movie. We are pretending we are already in it and performing with all the drama and swagger! Not taking ourselves too seriously. 

You can’t pick up all the moves? Don’t worry,  you can adjust and improvise the moves that don't suit you and make them your own with a cheeky wink!
